Our story
D.B.T was formed in May 2023 when three seasoned musos with a love of the blues got together and had a jam. The musos; River Redford on Guitar, Scott Viner on Bass and Morpheus Tilley on Drums instantly hit it off and Dynamite Blues Train was born. As children of the 60’s and 70’s D.B.T. were brought up on the guitar based rock of Jimi Hendrix, S.R.V., ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Robin Trower, Johnny Winter, Buddy Guy and all the great blues artists. They love nothing better than keeping the music pure and organic. No computers or backing tracks for these boys. It’s proudly old school. After spending much of 2023 getting a set of songs together based on their blues heroes the boys hit the stage in December 2023.
Word soon spread that D.B.T. put on great shows and soon got themselves regular gigs throughout 2024 with Brendan Woodford-Robinson joining in on the harp. The band diversified playing both electric blues sets and a low fi set with Morpheus using his cajone drum keeping things quiet and cruisey. While busy playing live gigs the band also wrote and recorded their first album TESTIFY in November which was released in February 2025.
